The AI & Infrastructure Sr Portfolio Architect serves as the senior technical authority responsible for defining and driving the enterprise infrastructure and AI engineering strategy, architecture standards, and technology roadmap. Bringing deep AI engineering and design experience, this role provides vision and leadership across cloud, data center, network, platform, AI/ML as well as Agentic & Generative AI engineering, observability, reliability, security, and automation domains to ensure infrastructure and AI capabilities align with business objectives and future growth. The AI & Infrastructure Sr Portfolio Architect partners with senior technology leaders, architects, engineering teams, cybersecurity, and business stakeholders to drive modernization initiatives, establish architectural guardrails, and deliver highly available, secure, and cost-effective infrastructure and AI platforms that support mission-critical operations.
- Architect scalable infrastructure platforms that support AI/ML, Generative AI, and advanced analytics workloads.
- Establish architectural standards for GPU platforms, model deployment environments, vector databases, and AI service integration.
- Define reference architectures for Generative AI platforms, including large language model hosting, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), prompt orchestration, and inference optimization.
- Define and maintain the enterprise infrastructure architecture vision, principles, standards, and roadmaps.
- Drive long-term infrastructure transformation initiatives aligned with business and technology objectives.
- Establish architecture governance and ensure compliance with enterprise technology standards.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and drive adoption of innovative infrastructure solutions.
- Define architectural patterns for compute, storage, networking, container platforms, Kubernetes, virtualization, and platform services.
- Architect highly available and fault-tolerant platforms supporting enterprise and customer-facing applications.
- Establish standards for resiliency, disaster recovery, business continuity, observability, monitoring, and incident response.
- Champion Infrastructure as Code (IaC), platform automation, and self-service engineering capabilities.
- Influence technology strategy across multiple portfolios and enterprise initiatives.
- Architect data and feature pipelines, vector databases, and model registries that support scalable AI/ML engineering workflows.
What You Need To Succeed (Minimum Qualifications)
- Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States.
- Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.
- Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles.
- Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data.
- 12+ years of experience in Infrastructure Architecture, Enterprise Architecture, Platform Engineering, Cloud Architecture, or related technical leadership roles at enterprise scale.
- Proven experience developing enterprise infrastructure strategies and long-term technology roadmaps.
- Deep expertise designing and operating large-scale cloud and hybrid infrastructure environments.
- Demonstrated expertise in AWS services, cloud-native architecture patterns, and infrastructure modernization initiatives.
- Experience designing and architecting responsible AI solutions and platfoerms.
What Will Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications)
- Experience with multi-cloud and hybrid-cloud architectures.
- Familiarity with AI governance, model risk management, and responsible AI frameworks.
- Experience with GPU cluster orchestration and accelerated-compute optimization for large-scale training and inference.
- Airline, transportation, logistics, or other mission-critical operational technology experience.
- Experience supporting AI/ML infrastructure, GPU environments, and large-scale data platforms.
