Accounting & Transformation Manager
Essential Functions:
- Oversee accounting operations and lead the transformation of processes and systems to improve efficiency and ensure accurate financial reporting and regulatory compliance.
- Lead corporate accounting projects, collaborating with multiple departments and stakeholders to address business needs and drive best practices.
- Manage accounting projects, from scope to delivery, addressing challenges and ensuring timely results.
- Implement new processes and systems to enhance operations, support daily general ledger activities, and provide training to ensure smooth transitions.
- Identify and mitigate risks in transformation projects while promoting continuous improvement and collaborating with other SSP regions to streamline practices.
- Oversee unclaimed property management, ensuring compliance with parent company policies, and improving internal processes.
- Participate in month-end close, general ledger reconciliation, and internal control documentation, providing reports and recommendations to upper management.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, IFRS, and provide audit documentation as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
- 5+ years of corporate accounting experience, preferably in hospitality, food service, or airport industries.
- Proficiency in GAAP and IFRS; SAP experience preferred.
- CPA license or active candidacy preferred.
- Knowledge of M&A frameworks and integration is a plus.
- Strong project management, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced proficiency with Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams.
- Ability to travel (~5% within the US and Canada) and pass TSA/FAA background checks.
