An opportunity has arisen for a Digital Manufacturing Engineer to join the Rolls Royce team in Bristol. The role presents an exciting opportunity to work at the frontline, creating, developing and implementing digital manufacturing systems and solutions in an environment that is pushing the boundaries of modern aerospace manufacturing.

You would be working in a high performing team supporting the continuous improvement of digital manufacturing capability throughout the product lifecycle. You will interact and manage relationships across various functions internally and externally using your forward-thinking mind set to push the boundaries of existing methods and collaborate with experts to investigate the art of the possible.

Hybrid working is a way in which our people can balance their time between the office, home or another remote location. It’s a locally managed and flexed informal discretionary arrangement. As a minimum we’re all expected to attend the workplace for collaboration and other specific reasons, frequency will depend on business needs, nature of role, what works for the team and for the individual. Your needs are as unique as you are. Hybrid working is a way in which our people can balance their time between the office, home, or another remote location. What you will be doing
- Identifying and developing opportunities for new or improved digital manufacturing processes, systems and technologies to meet current or future requirements.
- Fixing, improving and/or transforming current and future digital capability.
- Deploying, developing and implementing Digital Manufacturing processes and technologies across the Commodity and Production lifecycle.
- Collaborating cross functionally with multi-disciplinary teams internally and externally to deliver future proof digital excellence.
- Working closely with I.T. to develop framework and process roadmaps/architecture to inform and deliver transformative Manufacturing capability.

To be successful in this role you will need to have the experience listed below:
- Digital Professional qualifications (e.g., UK minimum HND/Foundation degree or other national equivalent)
- General awareness of Manufacturing Systems
- Demonstrable experience in complex and regulated manufacturing operations within Aerospace or other industries
- Experience working to Industry 4.0 principles and digital transformation methodology
- A strong appetite for continuous self-development with an active interest in novel and emerging manufacturing technology
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to innovate within strict regulatory and quality parameters
- Knowledge of digital manufacturing systems, mapping and automation
- Strong understanding of IIOT and data analytics
