Job Title: Aircraft Mechanics Helper
Location: Cincinnati Greater Northern Kentucky International Airport, Erlanger Kentucky

The Aircraft Mechanics Helper will be responsible to his / her immediate supervisor to assist in the accomplishment of all work assigned per policies, procedures, requirements, and specifications established by the Repair Station & Air Carrier Companies, applicable government agencies, and the manufacturers (OEM) as contained in the Approved Technical Publications. Their position will be to assist and learn all aspects of Aircraft Maintenance for the Repair Station (MRO). They will be required to document all tasks completed in the learning phase of aircraft maintenance by using the FEAM On-the-Job Training form (FEAM CVG 406).
Job Duties:
- Assist in the performance of hangar maintenance (On-call and scheduled) work on various customers' aircraft.
- Assist in the performance of routine maintenance and airworthiness releases (within the scope of Approval) returning aircraft to service.
- Will assist in the servicing, inspecting, and maintaining aircraft, aircraft engines, and associated components; will assist in effectively performing work to meet deadlines and performance goals.
- Will assist in the troubleshooting of systems; disassembly, repair, and reassembly of sections and components to maintain full functioning equipment according to Approved Technical Data provided by the customer.
- Will assist and ensure all departing aircraft are safe per FARs and the air carrier/manufacturer manuals and all work performed is properly documented.
Basic Qualifications:
- Must be able to read and write English.
- Must pass airport security background checks and travel for work as required.
- Must have Good organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Must have a Current Valid Driver’s License.
- Must have a high degree of mechanical ability and attention to detail.
- Frequently be required to stand, walk, continually utilize hand, and finger dexterity, climb, balance, bend, or crawl, occasionally from heights in precarious places.
- Frequently lift/push/carry items up to 50 pounds.
- Awareness that he/she will be working near and around moving mechanical parts, around fumes, airborne particles, or toxic chemicals, and exposure to loud noises.
- Ability to operate equipment and read technical information.
- Exposure to weather conditions outside as well as non-weather conditions such as extreme heat or cold.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to use various hand tools, calipers, and specialized tools for aircraft.
- Prefer the ability to read technical manuals and mechanical diagrams.
