Position Summary
Position Summary:
Provides information to customers to assist them in resolving problems. Assists engineering with new product designs. Provide technical support to customers and other team members. Interfaces with customers and the Engineering Department. This position typically reports to the Technical Services Manager. Interacts routinely with co-team members, business units and division management to communicate all customer information as an advocate of premiere customer service.
Responsibilities
Essential Functions:
- Timely response to all customer inquiries, work closely with Engineering when appropriate and perform any assistance necessary including potential customer visits and on-site field service.
- Must continuously maintain the highest degree of customer service, throughput, quality, cost reduction and people productivity.
- Assists customers with applications, diagnostics, and troubleshooting.
- Assists customers with products and competitive part number identification and part interchange information.
- Interfaces with Engineering to communicate customer needs, new product development and existing product improvements.
- Maintains the computer database call log.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Associate degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent related experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge of PTO's and auxiliary power products.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Professional telephone and organization skills.
- Excellent people skills.
- Microsoft Office Suite experience, including but not limited to word processing, spreadsheets, and databases.
- Ability to travel as required.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.
