PURPOSE: The Analyst, Crew Planning is responsible for the efficient and effective planning of flight crew rosters in compliance with regulatory requirements, company policies, and operational needs. This role ensures that all flights are adequately staffed with qualified crew members, optimizing resource utilization while maintaining a high level of service and operational safety.
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage monthly crew rosters, ensuring compliance with flight time limitations (FTLs) and rest requirements as per regulatory and company standards.
- Optimize crew schedules to maximize productivity and minimize costs, including managing crew swaps, leaves, training, and other assignments.
- Ensure all crew rosters comply with aviation regulations and company policies, including FTLs, rest periods, and training requirements.
- Collaborate with other departments such as Flight Operations, Human Resources, and Training to ensure seamless crew operations and address any staffing issues.
- Maintain clear and effective communication with crew members regarding their schedules, changes, and any issues that arise.
- Proactively identify and resolve any potential scheduling conflicts or issues, ensuring minimal disruption to flight operations.
- Maintain accurate records of crew schedules, changes, and compliance data. Utilize crew planning software and tools effectively.
- Generate and analyze reports on crew utilization, compliance, and other key metrics to support operational decision-making and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Aviation Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in crew planning, scheduling, or a related operational role in the airline industry preferred.
- Understanding of aviation regulations, flight time limitations, and crew scheduling practices.
- Familiarity with crew planning software and tools - NavBlue experience is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing operational needs and priorities.
