Work Arrangement: This role is primarily based in the office environment, with travel required to meet recruitment needs.
Position Overview:
Reporting to the Director, Human Resources, the Manager, Recruitment will be responsible for designing, executing, and overseeing a comprehensive recruitment strategy aimed at attracting, hiring, and retaining top-tier talent in the aviation industry. This position requires a hands-on leader who can drive recruitment excellence optimize processes, and ensure that our recruitment efforts align with the strategic needs of the business. You will lead a talented team of recruiters, build relationships with hiring managers, and be a key partner in ensuring that we continue to attract high-quality professionals in our organization. Primary Responsibilities:
The duties of the Manager, Recruitment include:
Strategic Recruitment Leadership:
- Develop and implement a world-class recruitment strategy focused on sourcing and hiring top talent for a variety of roles in the aviation industry, including pilots, flight attendants, operations personnel, and support personnel.
Team Leadership & Development:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing recruitment team. Set clear goals, provide regular feedback, and ensure continuous professional growth and development for all team members.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Partner closely with hiring managers and department heads across the organization to understand staffing needs, company culture, and team dynamics. Serve as a trusted advisor in shaping job specifications and refining interview processes.
Candidate Sourcing & Talent Pipeline:
- Build and maintain a robust talent pipeline by utilizing a variety of sourcing channels, including job boards, social media, networking events, and industry-specific recruitment platforms. Utilize innovative strategies and tools to engage passive candidates and promote the organization as an employer of choice.
Recruitment Metrics & Reporting:
- Track, measure, and report on key recruitment metrics, including time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, diversity of hires, and candidate satisfaction. Use data to continuously improve processes and ensure recruitment efforts are aligned with organizational goals.
Employer Branding:
- Enhance the company's employer brand to attract top-tier talent by showcasing company culture, career development opportunities, and industry leadership. Develop materials and campaigns that communicate the company's vision, values, and benefits to prospective employees.
Compliance & Best Practices:
- Ensure all recruitment practices comply with legal, regulatory, and company standards. Stay current on industry trends and best practices to ensure the recruitment strategy is cutting-edge and competitive.
Onboarding & Integration:
- Partner with the HR and onboarding teams to ensure a smooth transition for new hires, ensuring they feel welcomed and well-equipped to succeed within the organization.
Safety Duties, Accountabilities, Authorities and Responsibilities:
- Report proactive and reactive safety issues
- Demonstrate knowledge of employee responsibilities regarding safety and actively participate in the company’s Safety Management System (SMS) program
- Conduct assigned tasks and corrective actions
- Encourage active participation in the SMS for all personnel
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Education:
- Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- CPHR or RPR certification is preferred.
- Experience:
- Minimum of five (5) to seven (7) years of experience leading recruitment functions, including managing and mentoring recruitment teams.
- Minimum three (3) years of experience in the aviation or travel industry.
- Skills & Abilities:
- Proven track record of building and executing comprehensive recruitment strategies to attract high-quality candidates.
- Expertise in a variety of recruiting methods, including direct sourcing, employee referrals, partnerships with recruitment agencies, and online platforms.
- Strong understanding of applicant tracking systems (ATS) and HR technologies.
- Data-drive with experience using recruitment analytics to measure effectiveness and drive continuous improvement.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage with senior leadership, hiring managers and candidates.
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, high volume, dynamic environment with multiple completing priorities.
- A high degree of professionalism, discretion and attention to detail.
- Flexible to meet and adapt to constantly changing demands of the workplace
- Ability to handle a high volume of daily requirements and work well under pressure
