Safety is at the heart of all we do at easyJet, and we never compromise on this core value. Our Ground Operations team plays a vital role in ensuring both the safety and success of our operations. We are seeking a proactive and conscientious Quality & Safety Specialist to join our team, where you will provide technical expertise, operational support, and oversight for our Ground Operations activities.
In this role, you will oversee the delivery of our standards assurance program, including change management initiatives, and work to monitor and manage safety events, trends, and risks across our network. You will take the lead in investigating significant safety incidents and recommending changes to Ground Operations policy and standards. As an advocate for safety, you will contribute to safety promotion activities, represent easyJet at both national and European working groups, and prepare reports and presentations to support departmental initiatives.
Additionally, you will serve as a key interface with lessor carriers, support new airport start-ups and transitions with ground handling partners, and provide expert safety risk guidance to the Ground Operations team.
With opportunities to lead projects and contribute to the continuous improvement of our operations, this position offers a dynamic and impactful role within a fast-paced environment.
What You Need To Do This Role
You will have a solid background in auditing and oversight processes, coupled with a strong understanding of risk management and experience conducting thorough investigations. Exceptional report-writing skills are essential, along with a working knowledge of regulatory frameworks such as EASA, EC1107, IATA AHM/IGOM, and other industry standards. A deep understanding of ground handling activities and operations is crucial, as is the ability to develop and articulate clear operational procedures.
Strong planning and organisational skills are necessary to meet tight deadlines, and the successful candidate will be resilient under pressure, with excellent communication and presentation skills to engage effectively at all levels. The role also requires travel across our entire network, so flexibility is important.
If this sounds like you, and you're ready to take on a challenging role where you can make a real impact, we'd love to hear from you. Join us in driving safety excellence.
