We believe that inclusion helps us thrive and grow at United across our collaborative Finance teams consisting of Financial Planning & Analysis, Internal Audit, Treasury, Global Procurement, Controllership, Investor Relations and more. These teams provide the financial fuel that keeps our operation running from providing detailed analyses of financial planning, performance, and forecasts to managing our investments and financial strategies. Our Finance team plays an integral role in making our airline profitable and successful by meeting our financial goals.
Key Responsibilities
The Global Procurement (GP) organization at United Airlines is responsible for, among other things, procuring goods and services and developing/maintaining relationships with third-party providers to reduce total cost and risk to United improving levels of quality, service, and technology.
The Senior Manager – Contract Management will lead the Contract Management team, supervising the procurement contract lifecycle. This individual will supervise the reading, drafting, management and execution of contracts to improve supplier relationship management and align sourcing strategy with overall organizational goals. The Senior Manager will collaborate with various internal partners to align sourcing activities with the company’s strategic goals.

- Actively supervise reading and negotiation of procurement contracts
- Provide mentorship and oversight to the drafting, review, and revision of contracts
- Communicate and resolve procurement related issues with partners
- Coordinate contract compliance across all contracts and ensure business timelines are outlined and driven upon
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with key suppliers and senior business partners (officers and above)
- Head oversight of contractual execution to drive savings and reduce overall risks (for high risk, multimillion dollar deals) while ensuring partners’ (SR, VP or Above) needs are met
- Resolve disputes and mitigate risks in supplier contracts and partnerships
- Promotes co-operation and communication between internal partners across participating entities
- Advises and counsels internal partners
- Lead alignment, anticipate changes, and drive activities based on supply market changes and recommendations of task forces
- Active participant in the entire contract lifecycle, responds with an agile understanding of procurement risk

- Understand supplier contract processes and implement processes to drive efficiency and complete contracts in a timely compliant manner
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing sourcing team

Qualifications
What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree
- Legal, Finance, Supply chain or another business-related field
- 7+ years of consulting, sourcing, legal, audit, or finance experience
- Highly analytical with excellent problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and people skills
- Works well in a high-paced cross-functional environment
- Good business acumen and validated capability of leading sophisticated projects
- Sophisticated PowerPoint and Excel skills
- Reliable, punctual attendance (in-person or virtual) is a crucial function of the position
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
- Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
