An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Financial Planning and Reporting (FP&R) team. The North American FP&R Group is a part of Finance Operations in Global Business Services. The Group provide finance support to IT and GBS functions, Head Office, Corporate Legacy Entities, Group Functions, Statutory and regional requirements, and the wider businesses.
As a Senior IT Financial Analyst, you will provide support to the IT team to ensure capital expenditures and IT costs from an actual and budget perspective are accounted correctly. Further, emphasis on budgeting expected costs accurately and ensuring all allocations are in accordance with US DOD requirements are essential. You will solve problems through daily interaction with regional IT leadership, IT Project Managers, UK IT finance team, local finance teams, UK commercial managers and supplier contacts.

Key Accountabilities
Manage capital expenditure for Central IT US, raise shadow schemes, monitor Assets Under Construction, communicate with IT Project Managers, close projects when complete and manage IT asset verification performed every 3 years.
Manage Central IT costs (NADC space & power dollars, IT supplier spend and IT recharges to all of the North America sites).
Prepare & review financial reporting vs budget and provide financial oversight for Central IT US activity (cost centers, projects & fixed assets) and provide monthly reporting of IT recharges by sector to RR PLC.
Ensure all Rolls-Royce Corporation IT costs have been recorded in SAP & charged to the appropriate Sectors. Ensure all IT cost allocations are compliant with government reporting standards.
Prepare Budget/5YF for all IT US cost centers and complete P&L/BS for IT HFM entities to load into VBM. Provide support for IT budgeting & reporting to the sectors as needed and ensure all allocations are in line with government requirements.
Support FP&R Financial Analyst by reviewing prepared Journal Entries and providing direction when process changes need to be made. In addition, complete adhoc activities as directed by Manager.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business with 6+ years of experience in accounting or finance, OR
Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business, or CPA license with 4+ years of experience in accounting or finance, OR
JD/PhD

Familiar with costs associated with IT
Demonstration of effective communication and problem-solving skills
Ability to work in an environment with frequent interruptions, high volume of activities and multiple demands and deadlines.
Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize and work independently, and allocate time effectively.
Strong Excel skills
Experience with SAP and/or HFM
Experience preparing budgets.
