ResponsibilitiesThe Graphic Designer will create and execute visually compelling designs for Spirit Airlines’ in-house creative team, supporting a wide range of projects from concept to completion. This role is responsible for ensuring the look, tone, and essence of Spirit’s marketing and communication materials consistently reflect the brand across all channels and touchpoints – including digital (email, social, display advertising, web), print, environmental signage, and communications. The Graphic Designer will collaborate closely with copywriters, marketers, and other stakeholders to develop creative solutions that meet business objectives while maintaining brand integrity. This position requires strong design skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment to ensure efficiency, consistency, and timely delivery of all creative assets.
- Conceptualize and design creative assets for digital, print, environmental signage, and internal communications, ensuring alignment with Spirit Airlines’ brand identity.
- Produce high-quality designs for a variety of channels, including email campaigns, social media graphics, display ads, web, app, print collateral, airport signage, presentations, and event materials.
- Develop creative solutions that balance aesthetics, functionality, and business objectives.
- Prepare and optimize files for production across digital and print platforms, ensuring accuracy and adherence to technical specifications.
- Create original illustrations, icons, and visual elements as needed to support brand storytelling.
- Execute responsive designs for mobile, tablet, and desktop platforms.
- Maintain and evolve Spirit Airlines’ brand guidelines, ensuring consistency across all creative outputs.
- Act as a brand ambassador by enforcing visual standards and tone of voice in all design work.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure creative executions reflect Spirit’s brand values and strategic goals.
- Work closely with copywriters, marketing managers, and other stakeholders to deliver cohesive, integrated creative solutions.
- Partner with external agencies and vendors when necessary to ensure alignment with Spirit’s brand standards.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute innovative ideas for campaigns and projects.
- Present design concepts and rationale to internal stakeholders for feedback and approval.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Track project progress and communicate status updates to team members and stakeholders.
- Ensure timely delivery of creative assets while maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy.
- Review and refine creative work based on feedback, ensuring final deliverables meet brand and technical requirements.
- Stay current on design trends, tools, and technologies to bring fresh ideas and innovation to Spirit’s creative team.
- Contribute to process improvements that enhance efficiency and creative output.
Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Advertising, Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related field.
- 4-6 years of experience in Advertising, Marketing, Communications, Journalism or related field
- 4+ years of professional design experience with a strong portfolio showcasing multi-channel work.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop); After Effects and animation experience a plus.
- Experience designing for both digital and print, including responsive layouts and environmental graphics.
- Strong understanding of typography, layout, and color theory.
- Ability to manage projects independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Experience in an in-house creative team or agency environment.
- Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Planner).
- Experience working on travel, lifestyle, or consumer-facing brands.
- Ability to create vector illustrations and motion graphics
