ResponsibilitiesSpirit Airlines is seeking an innovative, data-driven, and strategic Social Media Strategist to join our team and lead efforts to strengthen our brand’s digital presence. The ideal candidate excels at blending creativity with analytics, developing platform-specific strategies, and driving measurable growth. The Social Media Strategist will be responsible for shaping the overall social media vision, creating integrated campaigns, and leveraging insights to optimize performance. Working closely with cross-functional teams and external partners, this position offers the opportunity to influence brand perception and engagement at scale in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Develop and implement comprehensive social media strategies aligned with Spirit Airlines’ brand objectives and business goals.
- Identify emerging trends, platform updates, and audience behaviors to inform proactive strategy adjustments.
- Create and maintain a long-term social media roadmap, ensuring consistency across platforms while tailoring content for each channel.
- Work with the Social Media Content Manager on the ideation and execution of integrated social media campaigns that drive engagement, awareness, and conversion.
- Collaborate with internal teams (Brand, Media Relations, Creative, Inflight, DEIB, HR, etc.) and external agencies to deliver high-impact campaigns.
- Monitor and analyze social media performance metrics, providing actionable insights and recommendations to improve ROI.
- Develop regular reporting dashboards and present findings to Social Media team and internal stakeholders, highlighting successes and opportunities.
- Utilize social listening tools to track sentiment, identify trends, and inform content strategy.
- Establish guidelines for community engagement and reputation management across platforms.
- Identify opportunities for proactive engagement and partnerships to strengthen brand loyalty.
- Support crisis communication efforts and ensure timely, brand-appropriate responses.
- Collaborate with the Social Media Content Manager on influencer and creator strategies to amplify brand reach and engagement.
- Evaluate influencer performance and optimize future partnerships based on data-driven insights.
Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Marketing, Digital Media, or related field; OR equivalent experience
- 2-4 years of experience in Social media strategy within a corporate or agency setting, preferably in travel/hospitality
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful social media campaigns that drive measurable results.
- Strong understanding of social media platforms, algorithms, and emerging trends.
- Proficiency in analytics tools (Sprinklr, Sprout Social, Google Analytics).
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to present strategies and insights to internal stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
