Assistant Manager, Commercial Planning

Role Purpose
Responsible for supporting the Commercial Planning team in the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) Office in developing and managing the execution of overall commercial strategies, as well as monitoring key KPIs for the organization. The successful candidate will be an integral part of the Commercial Planning team and will assist in developing and executing plans to optimize revenue, enhance efficiency, and drive profitability.
Key Accountability
- Work with the Commercial Planning team to develop and implement the airline's commercial strategy, aligning it with overall business goals.
- Coordinate with the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) and Heads of Business Units in planning and setting key performance indicators (KPIs) within the commercial division, as required.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Commercial and Group-level functions (e.g., Finance and Corporate Strategy), to implement revenue-generating initiatives.
- Conduct market research and analysis to support the Commercial Planning team in preparing materials for senior management presentations and meetings.
- Track, manage, and monitor KPIs within the Commercial division, and review revenue performance reports.
- Assist the CCO in coordinating various forums (e.g., weekly meetings and key update sessions); proactively track and monitor action items to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the CCO Office, particularly with regard to key revenue projects.
- Maintain professionalism in managing stakeholders’ expectations, fostering cohesive and timely execution of the division’s strategic plans, and working closely within the Commercial Planning team.
- Analyze and report on sales data to identify trends and provide insights to support decision-making.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Management, Statistics, or a related field, with 3–4 years of experience in Commercial, Revenue Management, or Sales. Project Management and Commercial Strategy experience are highly desirable.
- A Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) with experience in commercial aviation will be an added advantage.
- At least 3–4 years of experience in a similar role within the commercial planning department of a fast-paced organization.

- Strong analytical capability with the ability to interpret complex data sets, identify trends, and translate insights into actionable business recommendations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, for data analysis and report preparation.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with senior stakeholders, exercising sound judgment and discretion in decision-making.
- Experience in commercial strategy, revenue management, sales performance analysis, or business planning within a revenue-driven organization; airline industry experience would be highly desirable.
- Strong project coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams such as Finance, Strategy, Sales, or Operations.
