Assistant Manager, Corporate Safety Strategy and Performance

Senior Manager, Corporate Safety Strategy and Performance
Position Summary
Effectively develop and ensure the implementation of safety strategies aligned with corporate goals and regulatory requirements to enhance overall aviation safety performance. Oversee and control the implementation of the Safety Management System (SMS) application within Malaysia Airlines and MAG, including coordination, execution, risk assessment, training, and the provision of comprehensive safety trend analysis.
Key Accountabilities
- Safety Strategy Development:
- Assist in developing and refining safety strategies, policies, and procedures.
- Support safety goal setting and performance tracking.
- Safety Performance Analysis:
- Analyze safety data, identify trends, and provide insights.
- Support safety reporting and incident investigation processes.
- Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure alignment with aviation safety regulations (e.g., CAAM, IATA).
- Support internal audits and compliance checks.
- Stakeholder Engagement:
- Collaborate with departments, operational teams, and external stakeholders.
- Support safety communication and awareness initiatives.
- Safety Initiatives Support:
- Assist in implementing safety initiatives and projects.
- Support safety training and competency development.
Qualifications
- Degree in IT/ Mathematic/Science/ Engineering/ Business related discipline from recognised higher institution with minimum of three (3) years related working experience which include at least a year of experience as executive; OR
- Diploma in the above related discipline with seven (7) years of related working experience.
- SMS training by CAAM and or IATA
Personality Traits
- Good understanding of Flight, Ground and Hazard safety impacting aircraft operations.
- Good communications skills & written and verbal, in English and Bahasa Melayu.
- Possess an analytical mind.
- Good presentation and training skills.
- Meticulous, disciplined and firm.
