Role Purpose
This role is responsible for supporting Malaysia Aviation Group (MAG)'s financial reporting and consolidation activities, with a strong focus on data accuracy, analysis and reporting quality. This role works collaboratively with the financial reporting team and business units (BUs) to deliver timely consolidated results, insightful management reports, and reliable analysis that support effective business decision-making and performance monitoring. It also requires supporting the team with additional tasks as necessary, ensuring completeness and accuracy of financial reporting.
Key Accountability
- Assist the team to perform monthly and annual consolidation of financial results for the Group, ensuring timely and accurate reporting in accordance with applicable accounting standards and company policies.
- Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of consolidated financial data, including validation of submissions through close collaboration with business units.
- Assist in monthly intercompany reconciliation and elimination, including identification and resolution of intercompany differences during the consolidation process.
- Prepare and support management reporting, including analysis of group financial performance, variance analysis, and ad-hoc reporting requests from management.
- Support external audit process by coordinating and responding to auditor queries and requests related to group consolidation and preparation of audited financial statements.
- Possess strong advanced Microsoft Excel skills to develop, maintain, and enhance reporting templates to improve reporting efficiency and accuracy.
- Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance consolidation, reporting workflows and data quality, including opportunities for automation and standardisation.
Qualifications & Working Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline with 3-4 years experience.
- Professional Qualification (ACCA, ICAEW, CPA, MIA etc) is an added advantage.
Areas of Experience
- Accounting Finance or in any relevant field of work – with experience in SAP S/4HANA (S4) is preferred.
