About The Role & Team
Reporting to the Regional Portfolio Head of Delivery and Operations, you'll be part of the Project Management Team, learning from and working with experienced professionals to deliver high-quality projects.
What You Will Do
Project Management: Oversee projects involving kiosks, eGates, biometrics, cyber security, and digital travel. Manage projects from inception to closure, handling change, mitigating risks, and delivering results. Attention to detail, time management, and influencing skills are essential.
- Team Collaboration: Work with local and remote teams of 5-10 members. Track project progress, take corrective actions, and ensure regular communication with team members, management, stakeholders, and customers.
- Customer Engagement: Prioritize customer satisfaction by proactively working with customers to meet project goals and objectives.
- Project Administration: Document project activities, including communication plans, resource and project plans, status reports, change requests, risk tracking, and variance reports. Accuracy is crucial.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Define project scope, goals, and deliverables with senior management and stakeholders.
- Issue Resolution: Identify and resolve conflicts within the project team.
- Resource Estimation: Estimate resources and participants needed for project goals.
- Team Leadership: Coach, mentor, and supervise team members and contractors, encouraging accountability.
- Post-Project Analysis: Conduct lessons learned sessions and create recommendations reports.
- Support Bid Teams: Assist with delivery schedules and plans within project management guidelines.
- Financial Management: Manage project budgets, margins, and revenue forecasting.
- Research and Learning: Conduct research on project-related issues and products and apply new technologies.
Qualifications
Who you are:
- Proven experience in project management, including process development and execution for projects of varying sizes, complexities, and budgets within a commercial environment.
- Experience with IT solutions or airline industry solutions providers is preferred.
- Familiarity with project management software like Microsoft Project, Clarizen, or ADO.
- Experience presenting to executives and senior management.
- Demonstrated personnel management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Adaptable to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines through strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
- Flexibility during times of change.
- Language skills are beneficial for projects across Europe.
- Solid understanding of project management methodologies and the project life cycle.
- Knowledge of technology and its application in project management.
- Experience in the aviation industry (airlines and airports) is beneficial.
- Familiarity with Agile software delivery and product lifecycle.
- Strong problem-solving skills and self-management with a results-driven focus.
- Proven experience in internal and external stakeholder management.
- University degree or equivalent
- PMP, PRINCE2, or similar certification preferred.
