As a Java and Angular developer in the Identity & Biometrics Systems R&D you will contribute to fulfil the vision of our marketing department for Thales Web enrolment system. Web enrolment system is used to enroll citizen biometric data on Thales enrolment kiosk and biometric devices connected to PC. You will work with Web enrolment system server and integrate with other Thales systems. You will learn how modern biometric data enrolment system works. You will gain knowledge about biometric data capturing and processing.
As a member of our team, you will contribute to the development of Web enrolment system, which is then used by other Thales teams to deliver tailor-made solutions to governments and citizens all around the globe.
A week in the life of a Java and Angular developer:
- You will work in a cross-functional team of developers and QAs and cooperate closely with product owner on product delivery and acceptance criteria for it.
- You will participate in all the Agile ceremonies related to the product development.
- You will collaborate in all the activities related to the Software development of our products: analysis of the product needs, design, implementation, qualification, documentation and maintenance of the solution.
- You will work on server development in Java.
- You will participate on client development in Angular.
- You will develop and maintain automated tests.
- You will support other people within the team but also from other teams who are using our products.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
- We would like someone who is enthusiastic about software development and computer security, who is a team-player, collaborative and creative, able to learn and has good communication skills.
- You must have experience with Java development and Spring boot framework, software architecture and unit tests writing and being open to automated testing.
- You should have basic web development knowledge, preferably in Angular framework.
- You should have experience with continuous integration and delivery and agile development environments.
- Preferably you have experience with biometry, cryptography, security topics and agile methodologies. Jira and Confluence experience is also desired.
- You must be fluent in English.
- You do not need to have a university degree in computer science, but it’s surely an advantage.
- We are looking for someone with at least 4 years of experience in Java development.
