As a QA engineer in the Identity & Biometrics Systems R&D you will contribute to fulfil the vision of our marketing department based on secure electronic documents and electronic identity. You will work with secure documents (passports, ID cards), biometric devices, mobile handset devices, cryptography, online transactions and digital identity management. You will learn which principles are making the modern e-government a reality.
As a member of our team, you will contribute to the development of key products, which are then used by other Thales teams to deliver tailor-made solutions to governments and citizens all around the globe.
Our mobile application is focused mainly on citizens’ identity, acquisition and verification of biometric data and communication with backend biometric databases. We rely on Thales experience with digital security and bring it to the outside world.
A week in the life of a Mobile QA:
- You will work in a cross-functional team of developers and QAs, and cooperate closely with product owner on product delivery and acceptance criteria for it.
- You will participate in all the Agile ceremonies related to the product development.
- You will collaborate in all the activities related to the Software development of our products: analysis of the product needs, design, implementation, qualification, documentation and maintenance of the solution.
- You will work on testing strategies definition, proof-of concepts, and new technologies testing.
- You will support other people within the team but also from other teams who are using our products.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
- We would like someone who is enthusiastic about software QA and computer security, who is a team-player, collaborative and creative, able to learn and has good communication skills.
- You must have experience with the whole test cycle including requirements analysis, test strategy preparation, test plan development, test case creation and execution, bug tracking and reporting;
- Good understanding of mobile technologies and being open to manual and automated testing.
- Experience with Espresso testing framework is a plus.
- We are using Kotlin for Android Development
- You should have experience with continuous integration and delivery and agile development environments.
- Preferably you have experience with biometry, cryptography, security topics and agile methodologies. Jira and Confluence experience is also desired.
- You must be fluent in English.
- You do not need to have a university degree in computer science, but it’s surely an advantage
