Position Summary
This role is responsible to translate the Malaysia Aviation Group (MAG) vision and mission into clear strategic priorities and actionable plans for the Group and its three primary profit centres. This role acts as a bridge between the Board, key stakeholders, and Senior Management to ensure high-level engagements are converted into implementable business strategies.
Key Accountabilities
- Lead strategic planning and foresight across MAG’s business portfolio, translating market trends into actionable priorities and driving scenario planning to inform Group decisions
- Drive growth and strategic initiatives, including evaluation of Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A), partnerships, new ventures and investor opportunities, supported by robust business cases
- Steer enterprise-wide strategic reviews and portfolio optimization, assessing performance, growth potential and strategic gaps to maximize Group value
- Align strategy with execution through planning processes i.e Annual Business Planning (ABP), ensuring coherence across strategy, financials and manpower priorities
- Engage senior stakeholders and provide functional leadership, supporting high-impact discussions at Group Executive Chief Officer (GEXCO) / Board of Directors (BOD) level and guiding Strategy Business Partners to ensure consistency and rigour.
Qualifications / Areas of Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics, Economics, Engineering, Business Studies, or a related field.
- At least 8 to 10 years of proven experience in Corporate Strategy, Business Planning, Business Development, Data Analytics, or Project Management. Experience in the aviation or logistics sector is highly preferred
