Position Summary
This position is responsible for assisting with Malaysia Aviation Group (MAG)’s enterprise procurement activities by implementing strategic sourcing initiatives designed to maximize cost savings and value. This position is responsible for aligning procurement outcomes with MAG’s overarching business plan to ensure long-term financial sustainability. This position is responsible for executing value-driven sourcing strategies that optimize expenditure while maintaining high service standards across the organization. This position is responsible for identifying opportunities to streamline procurement processes to achieve the strategic objectives of the enterprise.
Key Accountabilities
- Support the Category Lead in the development and execution of sourcing strategies for identified work categories.
- Manage the end-to-end procurement process, including the execution of RFx exercises and the development of comprehensive business proposals.
- Negotiate contracts to ensure they meet specific business requirements and organizational standards.
- Lead efforts in supplier reduction and rationalization to optimize the supply base.
- Identify and execute against agreed KPIs to leverage company spend and maximize savings opportunities.
- Deliver measurable cost savings through strategic cost avoidance and smart spending initiatives.
- Monitor and report on the results of sourcing events to management to ensure data-driven decision-making.
- Drive adherence to procurement turnaround time (TAT) targets to maintain operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with internal clients and business owners to influence decision-making regarding third-party procurement activities.
- Conduct regular communications with users to provide clarity on procurement processes, roles, and the value of the function.
- Oversee compliance with supplier performance management frameworks and identify areas of non-compliance.
- Support the implementation of e-procurement tools and frameworks to ensure effective utilization across the category.
Qualifications / Areas of Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree/Advance Diploma with relevant field of study
- Finance/Supply Chain/Engineering/Business Administration
- At least 3-4 years of relevant working experience in Procurement/Supply Chain or related field
