Position Summary
This position is responsible for driving data-driven marketing strategy and performance analytics across Malaysia Aviation Group (MAG)’s global full-service carrier portfolio. The incumbent will synthesize complex datasets from tools like Adobe Analytics and Power BI into actionable insights to optimize campaigns and identify growth opportunities across diverse routes and markets. The role requires a strong analytical lead who can bridge the gap between data and strategy, delivering high-impact storytelling and presentations to senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
Key Accountabilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive, data-driven marketing roadmaps aimed at achieving group-wide revenue, customer acquisition, and retention targets.
- Deliver high-frequency marketing intelligence, specifically focusing on Internet Booking Engine (IBE) revenue trends and the early detection of market anomalies.
- Conduct deep-dive analyses into campaign, market, and customer behavior to identify untapped growth opportunities and optimize marketing ROI.
- Act as a strategic liaison between Revenue Management, Sales, Network Planning, and Global Marketing to ensure all commercial strategies are vertically aligned.
- Spearhead and track key marketing workstreams, ensuring all initiatives are delivered within defined scopes, budgets, and aggressive timelines.
- Maintain and enhance sophisticated reporting ecosystems using Power BI, Adobe Analytics, Excel, and R to ensure data reliability and accuracy.
- Synthesize complex datasets into high-impact, visual presentations that provide clear strategic narratives for senior leadership and executive stakeholders.
- Establish robust tracking mechanisms for route-specific performance, providing real-time feedback to shift marketing spend based on demand volatility.
- Lead and mentor junior team members, fostering a culture of analytical excellence and supporting their long-term professional growth within the Group.
- Oversee the integrity of marketing data inputs and outputs, ensuring that all reporting remains a "single source of truth" for commercial decision-making.
Qualifications / Areas of Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, Economics, Data Analytics, Statistics, or a related field from a reputable university.
- Certifications in analytics or data visualization tools (e.g. Power BI, Adobe Analytics) are an advantage
- Project management certification (e.g. PMP, Agile, Scrum) is an added advantage.
- 4–7 years of relevant experience in marketing analytics, commercial analytics, or marketing planning
- Experience in aviation, travel, e-commerce, or other data-driven industries is preferred
- Prior experience managing or mentoring junior team members is an advantage

- Marketing performance analysis, campaign optimization, and ROI tracking
- Customer, market, and competitor insights generation
- Digital analytics, particularly web/app performance (IBE experience is a strong advantage)
- Dashboard development and data visualization (Power BI or similar tools)
- Cross-functional collaboration with commercial teams (e.g. Revenue Management, Sales)
- Strategic marketing planning and translating insights into actionable recommendations
- Project management and coordination across multiple stakeholders and timelines
