As a Direct Sales Specialist, you are a commercially minded analytics partner in Direct Sales team within Retail. You support revenue performance in Finnair’s direct digital channels (Finnair.com and the App) by analyzing customer and sales data to identify opportunities, bottlenecks and performance drivers, and by translating insights into concrete actions with stakeholders. You help build scalable performance management by improving data consistency and quality and by accelerating reporting automation in close collaboration with Analytics and Digital teams. You communicate performance and insights through clear and structured communication to support fast decision-making. This role suits a commercial-minded problem solver who enjoys working with analytics and multiple stakeholders, stays structured, and can explain insights clearly for both operational and senior audiences. You will be part of Retail team and report to Head of Direct Sales. Main responsibilities: Analyze sales and customer behavior data across Finnair.com, the App, and Meta, identify opportunities, bottlenecks and drivers of change. Monitor KPIs and assess the commercial impact of actions; translate findings into actionable recommendations. Conduct deep-dive diagnostics on sales performance, customer behavior trends and sentiment; run market and competitor analysis; and identify merchandising opportunities. Produce regular and ad-hoc performance reporting (e.g., weekly and monthly summaries) with consistent KPI logic and clear business interpretation. Present performance results and key insights to stakeholders; facilitate discussion to drive alignment and next steps. Partner with Analytics and Digital teams to build dashboards, ensuring data integrity and consistency, and accelerating speed to insight. Support Retail team priorities and roadmap execution by providing analytical input that helps stakeholders prioritize and deliver measurable impact. Stay up to date with ecommerce and retail trends in the airline industry and translate relevant best practices into actions. Act as a primary analytical partner for Direct Sales and Retail stakeholders. Our expectations: Master’s degree in Business Analytics, Strategy, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field. 2–3 years of experience in analytics, digital sales, ecommerce performance, or commercial roles. Strong analytical skills with hands-on experience in data analysis and presenting findings to different audiences. Customer and channel understanding: understand digital sales dynamics and customer behavior across journeys and touchpoints. High data integrity and quality mindset; ability to work with multiple tools and stakeholders to improve consistency. Strong communication and interpersonal skills in English; able to present structured findings and development proposals to both operational and senior audiences. Experienced in working in cross-functional set-ups and driving development through clear communication. Able to prioritize effectively between recurring analysis needs, reporting improvements, and deeper-dive analyses in a fast-moving environment. Continuous improvement and can-do, problem-solving attitude; motivated to contribute to Finnair’s transformation towards modern retailing.
