The DMS Logistics Specialist will help provide oversight & coordinate shipping activities from operational sites where DMS performs business operations.
Job Functions
- Manage shipments of aircraft, engines and parts to and from airframe and engine teardown sites to DMS warehouse and repair facilities
- Provide oversight and guidance to material coordinators at the teardown sites and DMS
- Perform shipment inventory reconciliations in SAP.
- Collaboration with DMS ITC Specialist on all International shipments to ensure trade compliance
- Conduct all SAP Training at Teardown sites to support teams, and provide guidance with transactions
- As SAP Subject-Matter-Experts Troubleshoot and correct SAP errors and perform system transactions.
- Establish SAP setup needs at teardown sites.
- Responsible for coordinating all parts robbing at airframe storage sites and managing backfills.
What You Need To Succeed (Minimum Qualifications)
- Minimum of 3-5 years relevant professional working experience - aviation industry.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred in Materials Management or related field or operational experience.
- Prior experience with Import & Export Clearance Procedures a plus
- Willingness to travel as required between 90% and 100% of the time.
- Willingness to work different shifts as needed to support the operation.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal & written.
- Prior experience with MS Office , SAP, or other ERP knowledge.
