JSG is looking for a CNC Machinist I (3rd shift) for a direct hire position in Downers Grove, IL. Our well established Aerospace and Defense client is in major expansion mode. 1-2 yrs of experience. 4K BONUS! PAY RATE: $26 + $2 Shift differential + weekend OT available, not required. They promote from w/ in and Supervisors approve raises for going above and beyond w/ out needing their Managers approval. Position Summary: The candidate will be required to set-up, operate, and adjust CNC machines, Lathes and/or Mills. Work from drawings and written instructions to create parts. May need to make offsets to programs on CNC Machines. Job Responsibilities: Responsible for all phases of part operations, maintains part conformance per sketch and drawing requirements. Perform and maintain accurate in-process quality inspection and records. Identify and recommend process improvements that reduce part quality variation. Input data into visual management forms and convey results to management. Continuously improve processes, procedures, and eliminate waste. Qualifications 1-2 years experience operating CNC Lathes and/or Mills Skilled in the use of indicator, gage, dial bores, and plate inspection methods for first article and in-process inspection of precision machined parts. Ability to maintain close tolerances (within .0003”), hold .0003 profile, roundness.
