Job Description
We are seeking a
Chief Manager – Bay Operations to lead and manage hangar and bay operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, maintenance efficiency, and operational excellence. The role oversees manpower, tools, equipment, planning, budgeting, and overall performance of base maintenance activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage hangar and support department operations efficiently and cost-effectively.
- Ensure all aircraft maintenance follows approved schedules, regulations, and organizational policies.
- Oversee manpower planning, equipment availability, tooling, and operational readiness.
- Drive maintenance efficiency by implementing best practices and achieving workload targets.
- Ensure corrective and preventive actions from audits and compliance programs are implemented.
- Maintain discipline, organization, and safety standards across bay operations.
- Manage divisional revenue, expenditure, budgeting, and forecasting activities.
- Oversee scheduling, planning, work packaging, dock control, and maintenance checks.
- Manage IT resource needs for bay operations.
- Lead recruitment, training, and administration for the division.
- Support infrastructure expansion, capability growth, and long-term planning.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory agencies and industry standards.

Minimum
Education & Experience Requirements
- 10+2 (PCM) or equivalent
- Ab-Initio AME training (DGCA approved) OR Bachelor’s in Engineering/Science
- 10–15 years hands-on maintenance experience on transport category aircraft
- Experience maintaining regulatory compliance
Desired
- Master’s degree
- 7+ years in aviation maintenance management
- Strong resource allocation & budget management experience
- Proven leadership experience in airline/MRO maintenance
