Role Summary
This profile demonstrates robust expertise in aviation crew operations, combining deep knowledge of flight time limitations and regulatory compliance (DGCA, EASA, FAA) with strong analytical skills for forecasting and optimizing crew resources. Proficient in managing crew scheduling, transfers, and promotions, it reflects a strategic approach to aligning staffing needs with operational demands. With hands-on experience in industry-standard software like AIMS, and a solid grasp of aircraft scheduling systems, it ensures technical precision. The ability to lead cross-functional coordination, handle crisis scenarios, and maintain clear communication across departments underscores a well-rounded capability in managing complex crew logistics and enhancing operational resilience.
Key Responsibilities
- Crew Scheduling Expertise (Deep understanding of flight time limitations (FTL) and rest regulations, Ability to optimize crew pairings and standby coverage, Experience with crew vacation bidding and absence tracking)
- Regulatory Knowledge (Familiarity with aviation regulatory frameworks (e.g., DGCA, EASA, FAA), Ensuring compliance with statutory and company policies)
- Analytical & Forecasting Skills (Data analysis for crew resource forecasting, evaluating future schedules and identifying crew impact/cost)
- Transfers (Managing crew movements between bases, fleets, or departments, ensuring transfers align with staffing needs and regulatory limits, working with HR and crew scheduling to facilitate smooth transitions)
- Promotions (Monitoring crew qualifications, tenure, and performance, applying promotion criteria (e.g., seniority, merit, certifications), Identifying crew members for leadership or specialized roles)
- Technical Proficiency (Experience with crew management software (e.g. AIMS), Understanding of aircraft operations and scheduling systems)
- Leadership & Team Management (Coordinating with multiple departments (training, transport, accommodation), Managing crew relations and resolving scheduling conflicts)
- Crisis & Contingency Planning (Handling last-minute changes due to sickness, delays, or disruptions, implementing emergency crew coverage plans
- Communication & Interpersonal Skills (Liaising with crew, transport providers, and travel agencies, Clear and professional communication across departments)
