Role Introduction
Reports to: Head of IT Solutions
You will be part of the Information Technology Department (IMT), supporting enterprise IT initiatives across Cathay Pacific and its subsidiaries, specifically Cathay Dining and Hong Kong Airport Services (HAS).
In this role, you will lead the delivery of the Rostering System project, driving operational efficiency and workforce optimisation across business units. You will oversee end-to-end project execution to ensure alignment with business objectives and delivery excellence.
You will gain exposure to large-scale, cross-entity transformation programmes and develop deep expertise in IT project delivery, stakeholder management, and enterprise system implementation within a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive, plan and manage IT project activities to ensure delivery within defined timelines, scope and budget
- Analyse and evaluate project proposals to determine delivery approach, resource requirements, dependencies and execution plans
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to support business and technology innovation initiatives
- Lead and manage project teams, providing clear direction, motivation and oversight throughout the project lifecycle
- Oversee delivery of large-scale and multiple concurrent projects, ensuring operational sustainability and performance
- Work closely with Project Practice Manager to enhance project management standards, governance and best practices
- Identify, manage and escalate risks and issues, and support development of mitigation and action plans
- Maintain strong attention to detail while effectively prioritising workload across multiple initiatives
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and project management trends, contributing to innovation and improvement
- Coach, mentor and support project team members and vendors to drive accountability and performance
- Provide on-call support as required by project needs
Requirements
- Degree holder in Information Technology, Business or a related discipline
- Minimum 10 years of IT experience, including at least 5 years in a project management role
- Proven track record in managing multiple projects within a cross-functional environment
- Strong knowledge in project and programme delivery, portfolio management, application and infrastructure development, vendor management and service transition
- Experience in managing budgets and OPEX cost control
- Technical understanding of hardware, software systems and vendor-delivered solutions
- Professional certification in project management such as PMP is preferred
- Solid understanding of IT service delivery and operational capabilities
- Strong leadership, stakeholder management and communication skills
- Ability to organise, prioritise and deliver in a fast-paced and complex environment
