Position SummaryThe role is mainly to support Head of Human Capital, Greater China and North Asia (GCNA) achieving HC target through carrying out day-to-day human resources responsibilities including but not limited to Compensation & Benefit, Talent Management and Recruitment, but also serve as Human Capital Business Partners working closely with respective stations’ HC team, Finance team, Commercial teams (Passenger and Cargo sales) and Airport Services Operation to drive business by enhancing human capability, with focus on South Korea and Japan regions.
Key AccountabilityTo assist in the following responsibilities as assigned by the Head of Human Capital (GCNA):
- Business Driver: Serve as a primary HC representative and assist the regional HC Head on all HC related issues for GCNA region (mainly for Japan and Korea), prepare reports on periodic meeting with stakeholders, provide guidance on HC matters, and promote MAG corporate culture to ensure an exceptional employee experience.
- Talent Acquisition & Recruitment: Enhance MAG's employer brand, establish and maintain relationships with recruitment channels, manage budgeting for manpower planning, coordinate recruitment processes, ensure a smooth onboarding experience for new hires, handle work visas and expatriate management, and oversee employment contract renewals.
- Compensation & Benefits: Manage day-to-day payroll operations, coordinate payroll outsourcing projects, review staff benefit coverage, work with benefit services providers to optimize human capabilities, prepare reports for medical insurance renewals, maintain a meticulous and data-driven approach.in preparing HR report and analysis, maintain staff personal data with utmost confidentiality, and collaborate with the Group Reward team on compensation matters.
- Talent Management: Promote a learning culture, monitor staff performance management systems, facilitate staff training and career progression including promotions and rotations, and oversee succession planning.
- Employee Engagement and Industrial Relations: Organize various staff engagement activities, monitor employee engagement initiatives including People Engagement Surveys, implement staff reward programs, gather and analyse staff feedback, champion corporate core values and purposes, conduct exit interviews, communicate MAG messages to employees through innovative media, stay updated on employment and labour legislation, and handle staff grievances, disciplinary actions, and labour disputes
- Ad hoc Projects: Assist with various projects assigned by the Group Human Capital Department, including report analysis, automation, digitalization, and meeting preparation, among others.
Qualifications & Working Experience - Degree Holder in HRM or related disciplines
- 4-5 years of working experience in the field of HRM, with relevant experience in leading team
Areas of Experience - Proficiency in spoken and written Japanese.
- Proficiency in Korean would be advantageous.
- Knowledge of the airlines or multi-national companies with experience in HRM would be added value
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint
- Well-verse with Japan and Korea employment-related regulations and social security requirements but not essential
