Position Title: Associate Vice President – Quality & Compliance Monitoring

Reports to: Chief Operating Officer
Job Purpose
The AVP – Quality & Compliance Monitoring is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing quality assurance, regulatory compliance, and Safety Management Systems (SMS). The role ensures full adherence to DGCA, EASA, ISO, AS9100, and other applicable regulations while driving continuous improvement and liaising with authorities on airworthiness and compliance matters.
Key Responsibilities
Quality & Compliance Oversight
- Ensure organizational procedures (MOE and associated documents) comply with Part-145 and other regulatory requirements.
- Submit amendments, mandatory documents, and regulatory forms for authority approval.
- Assess suppliers, contractors, and maintenance providers for quality compliance.
- Approve base maintenance tasks handled externally when required.
- Notify authorities regarding maintenance activities conducted outside approved locations.
Regulatory & Audit Control
- Manage audits by airworthiness authorities, customer airlines, and accreditation bodies.
- Ensure regulatory compliance across all quality-related functions.
- Maintain technical documentation and mandatory airworthiness records.
Safety Management System (SMS)
- Serve as the SMS Manager.
- Lead hazard identification, risk assessments, mitigation planning, and safety performance monitoring.
- Develop and deliver safety training.
- Report safety performance to senior management.
- Coordinate safety matters with national aviation authorities.
Leadership & Administration
- Oversee department operations, manpower, budgets, and performance KPIs.
- Ensure compliance with occupational health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Liaise with government ministries and regulatory authorities.
- Manage procurement of quality-related equipment and tooling.
- Delegate responsibilities to Manager Quality Assurance/Control in absence.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong regulatory and technical knowledge (DGCA/EASA/ISO/AS9100).
- Expertise in audits, compliance, and SMS implementation.

Education & Experience
- Graduate in Engineering or relevant field.
- Desired experience: Extensive exposure to aviation MRO quality/compliance systems.
